I volunteered with an NGO (Non Government Organisation) called PETE, which stands for Providing Education To Everyone. nPETE is based in a Delhi slum called the Kathputli Colony, or puppet colony. Since January 2013, the NGO has created 3 schools within the slum; the Nirvan School, which provides a classroom for 40 children with school books, stationary, games and education including English and Maths; a kindergarten which takes care of children aged 2-5, who’s parents both work as labourers/c
